Tasmanian Fiddleback Blackwood
Crush/Grind Peppermill and Salt Shaker Set
6 inch Peppermill & 4 inch Salt Shaker

The Australian Blackwood is an Acacia  species  native in eastern Australia. The species is also known as Sally Wattle,
Lightwood, Hickory, Mudgerabah, Tasmanian Blackwood or Black Wattle.  The wood is valued for its highly decorative timber
which may be used as a cabinet timber, for musical instruments or in boatbuilding.
Fiddleback is a form of wood figuring that forms when the grain of the woods run in contortions to normal grain patterns, and
causes light to reflect differently and creates patterns of undulating waves.  Fiddleback derived its name from the extended
usage of this type of grain pattern in the manufacture of fiddles and violins and of late in guitars.
