New offerings of wine glasses with multicolored stems. The wood for the stems are multiple layers of hardwood veneers that has been dyed and pressed together in a process under great pressure and heat to create these wonderful and colorful stems. These are tall and elegant additions to anyone's table or collection of glassware. Custom orders will be entertained if I still have the components or can get the components easily. Care and handling of wood turned stemware: While the glass bulbs are the same as solid glass stemware, some care must be taken to preserve and protect the beautiful wood turned stems. These stems are finished with multiple coatings of a wipe-on polyurethane and with careful and normal handling last many years without requiring any refinishing. These glasses cannot be washed in a dishwasher and should be gently washed and rinsed in warm water, not extremely hot as this will damage the wood stems. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. |
