New offerings of all wood wine golblets. These are tall and elegant additions to anyone's table or collection of goblets. A number of these goblets are single - one of a kind offerings. Custom orders will be entertained if I still have the components or can get the components easily. Care and handling of wood turned goblets: While these goblets may be used the same as solid glass stemware, some care must be taken to preserve and protect the beauty of the woods. These goblets are finished with multiple coatings of a wipe-on polyurethane and with careful and normal handling last many years without requiring any refinishing. These goblets cannot be washed in a dishwasher and should be gently washed and rinsed in warm water, not extremely hot as this could damage the wood finishes. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Honey Locust Goblets 7 inches tall by 3 inches diameter A pair of all wood goblets, turned from a single trunk of a honey locust tree. These goblets are finished food safe. Item Nr: 40-699 $55.00 pair
| Dogwood Goblet 8 3/4 inches tall with a 3 inch diameter base and mouth This dogwood goblet still has bark on one side and I put a glass cabochon in the base where a knot had chipped out of the foot. | Dogwood Goblet 8 1/2 inches tall with a 3 inch diameter base and mouth This goblet is an almost clear piece of dogwood, with only a slight amount of bark on the bottom of the base. While this goblet and the previous are not technically a pair, they are turned in nearly the same style and could be presented as a pair. Item Nr: 40-740 $25.00 |
Poplar wood goblets This is a set of four patching or near matching Poplar wood goblets. They were turned from a single billet of Poplar and only the one goblet has a slight blemish in the wood. The dark spot has been filled and stabilized. The goblets are finished food safe. Item Nr: 40-882 $95.00 set
Mimosa Wood goblets This pair of medieval style goblets was turned from the trunk of a Mimosa tree. Note the beautiful and unusual grain pattern. This wood is quite light weight and somewhat porous, but is finished beautifully in a food safe finish. Item Nr: 40-980 $55.00 pr.
Dogwood Goblet This is another Dogwood goblet in more or less a medieval style. This is a single goblet. The wood that was to be the goblet that was to match this and create a pair did not want to be a goblet. Half way through the hollowing of the bulb of the goblet, the wood shattered and became kindling, as I suppose it wanted to be. Item Nr: 40-982 $30.00
