PEPPER MILL GALLERY
Hand turned special one of a kind Pepper Mills.
I do occasionally turn other styles of mills, but my preference is to use the new ceramic crush/grind almost exclusively.
The mills are turned in a variety of sizes ranging from 4 inches to as large as 14 inches.
Each pepper mill is designed and turned to be a unique one of a kind item for the discerning decorator and chef.
These mills are turned from both local native woods of the USA, exotic rare woods from around the world
and my newest find, multi-color laminate blanks.

This is my newest inventory of pepper mills.

These are presented for your viewing and shopping pleasure.

Spalted Sucupira
Peppermill, 10 inch tall, Glue up
Sucupira (diplotropis martiusii) has many common names, too many to name here.  Freshly cut
the heartwood is generally a chocolate brown, sometimes a reddish brown, turning to a lighter
brown or more reddish brown when dry, occasionally a grayish brown, with fine lighter
parenchyma stripes.   Sapwood is white to yellow and well demarcated.
This pepper mill is a glue up of a sucupira board with a distinct demarcation of the sapwood with a
hint of spalting in the sapwood.  The board was stripped into four equal width strips, then glued
around a square center piece then turned round to form the distinct stripes.
